Area Attractions
Montana Sunrise Lodge borders the National Forest, so within a quarter mile, you could be hunting prime elk, deer and bear habitat. Names of local hunting and fishing guides can be provided upon request, please inquire.
Snowmobiling - Snowmobile right from the Lodge to the Kings Hill Winter Recreation Area with over 325 miles of spectacular groomed trails, climbing areas and parks to explore. There is a snowmobile rental company nearby. Call Snowmobile Adventures at (406) 236-5358.
Skiing - Showdown Ski Area is located 8 miles north of the Lodge. They offer rentals, lessons, daycare and a pro shop. For more infor-mation call 1-800-433-0022 or check their website at www.showdownmontana.com

Fishing - Many famous rivers including the Smith River, mountain lakes, reservoirs and brookie creeks too numerous to count are all easily accessible from the Lodge.
Cross-country skiing - The Silver Crest Nordic trail system is also located at Kings Hill. Two warming huts and over 18 km of well-marked X-country trails into the untouched beauty of the Little Belts. For more info call (406) 236-5511.
Snow Shoeing - Current conditions and rentals available at showdown Ski Area.
Hiking - Easy to Moderate hikes abound in the area, the trip to Memorial Falls is a sure winner.
Mountain Biking - Miles and miles of backcountry biking in the Lewis & Clark National Forest.

Charles M. Bair Family Museum - 1 mile south of Martinsdale turnoff on Hwy 12. Take a historic walking tour in Martinsdale and nearby Lennep.
The are 5 ghost towns within an hours drive of the Lodge - some are only accessible in summer - 4WD recommended.
Hot Springs - Located in nearby White Sulphur Springs, the Spa has some of the finest hot mineral "waters" in the world. Open to the public. Fee. 547-3366
